OurLittleFarm Journal July 2026 Our first hatchling. 🐣 After 21 days of patiently sitting on her nest, Villy welcomed her very first chick into the world. For the past three weeks, she barely left her nest, only stepping away once a day to eat, drink, stretch her legs, and quickly return to her eggs. Watching her quiet determination has been one of the most beautiful experiences on our little farm. Villy started with six eggs. As the days passed, we checked their development each week. Some never developed, while others stopped along the way. In the end, only two eggs remained. Today, one of them finally hatched. The other egg is still under Villy’s care, and we’re giving it a little more time. Nature doesn’t always unfold the way we hope, but that’s what makes every new life so precious.
